JOB SUMMARY The Hu Lab at Houston Methodist Research Institute is seeking talented postdoctoral researchers to work on our NIH-funded project titled “Pathogenesis in Segmental Demyelination”. This project aims to delve into the molecular mechanisms underlying segmental demyelination in inherited peripheral nerve diseases. Our specific interest lies in understanding how anomalies in lysosomal trafficking and intercellular interactions among Schwann cells, axons, and macrophages trigger segmental demyelination.  We approach these scientific queries at various levels, incorporating in vitro assays, primary cultured cells, as well as in vivo techniques such as mouse genetics and viral-mediated methods.
