The Scientific Writer at Houston Methodist, Department of Digital Health Innovation and Implementation Research position must have experience writing and editing a variety of digital health/innovation topics in multiple health care settings and in different specialties focusing on impact ranging from clinical to operational and financial.
Writer should be comfortable going in ‘cold’ to ‘find the stories’ through immersion, observation, sourcing data, talking to stakeholders, and getting up to speed quickly enough to move things forward to ensure productivity across wide breadth of topics. Writing will range from traditional rigorous high impact peer reviewed publications to operational/business/strategic articles, to grant applications and philanthropic proposals. The writer will work with a team of stakeholders that will include other investigators in the lab, investigators in other labs and departments, supporting clinical and operational champions participation in implementation science publications, and working with vendor and industry partners and executives.
The scientific writer should have experience sourcing ways to present story with visuals using data visualization graphics, illustrations, working with data science and other teams to highlight important concepts and data.
